What I enjoy most with craftwork is the constructive work, the creativity and the freedom in design. Trying to achieve something new is always an adventure. Besides the result must have a good user interface and sustain intensive usage in daily life.

I started working with wood and other materials following my sense of practicality and my appreciation of quality craftsmanship. It does not reflect my education, as this was physics which is still deep in my heart. In my professional life I held various positions in marketing and sales in the electronics and telecom industry.

At the present time I use the grinding systems of two different manufacturers, Peugeot and Sonderegger. For sure, one can find systems on the market that cost substantially less than those. However, I do not see any reason in investing hours of work into a mill and then outfitting it with a technology that quickly annoys the user due to its mediocre functionality. Even worse, because of that experience, the user cannot reconcile why he / she owns the mill when they are unable to refine a meal so as to enjoy it in a better way.
